Prior to joining the PCAOB in January 2003, Ms. Brown was a senior associate of the law firm of Baker & McKenzie. Ms. Brown practiced in the areas of securities and corporate law, specializing in the representation of U.S. and non-U.S. clients in public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other commercial transactions.
Ms. Brown received her bachelor’s degree from Brown University in 1988, her master’s degree in Russian and East European Studies from Yale University in 1993, and her Juris Doctor in 1996 from Northeastern School of Law. Ms. Brown is a member of the bar associations of the District of Columbia and Massachusetts.
