Jennifer Rand, Deputy Chief Auditor
As Deputy Chief Auditor, Ms. Rand provides technical direction in the development of the Board's standards. She also assists in managing the activities of the Office of the Chief Auditor and ensuring that the PCAOB standards are appropriately communicated to public-company auditors and other interested parties.
Prior to joining the PCAOB in December 2003, Ms. Rand was director of the SEC Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). There she led the AICPA’s SEC Practice Section team, the accounting profession’s self-regulatory group. Ms. Rand joined the AICPA in 1996. Earlier, she was with Price Waterhouse as an Audit Manager.
Ms. Rand earned a B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Virginia. She is a certified public accountant in Virginia.
